North Pines Campground

Yosemite never disappoints. North Pine campground is awesome. Had a nice relaxing time. Clean sites, not a lot of noise, close to the river.

Solid campsite and on the edge of the campground by the river. Flat ground, bathroom with flushable toilets. Potable water at the campground. Check-in was easy and shuttle system is great. Super convenient to everything in Yosemite. The campsites are right next to each other but people were respectful and quiet at quiet hours.

We wish we could stay here every Summer beautiful place and good people running the campground!

Site 209 was spacious enough for a group of 5 adults with 3 tents. We were there over Labor Day weekend, so it was a bit hot during the day. Luckily our site had some shade, and a lot of sites had trees that allowed for hammocks. Restrooms were close by and clean, and there was a place to dump cooking waste and dishwater. Fairly easy walk to Curry Village and Happy Isles for the Mist/JMT trailhead. The only downside wass the persistent squirrels invading our area, especially during the day when most sites are empty. A ranger came by to remind us to keep food within arm’s reach or lock it up in the bear locker, and you seriously need to because these squirrels have no fear. Please don’t feed the wildlife! Otherwise, it’s a beautiful campsite despite the crowds, and we’d definitely recommend if you’re lucky to get it!

Camping in Yosemite Valley is always a treat! Waking up to tall trees, towering rock formations, and beauty everywhere you look is a wonderful way to start the day. The campground spots are close together, and backing into my spot was a bit challenging, but after some maneuvering, I made it in just fine. Restrooms were clean and I was centrally located to several trails so I could easily explore the area. The free shuttle buses take you to all the must-see areas. Pack a lunch and a water bottle and explore the trails! The fall colors are especially nice, but I'd go again any time I can snag a rare open spot. Reservations are hard to come by! Grab one as soon as you see it, then plan your trip around that.

We stayed in North Pines for a few days. We brought our bicycles and thoroughly enjoyed getting around the valley. The rangers were very helpful addressing any of our questions.

My stay was only one night because of Campground closure the following day at noon. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Yosemite is a very special place that has become nearly impossible to access. I was grateful for the one night. As I departed through the north entrance, I accessed the Hodgdon Meadow Campground for three additional nights. I am very pleased to experience this campground for future experiences. The rangers were very accommodating. The staff in all experiences are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances.
