The campsites were a bit close in Loop A, but it was really nice being close to the river!

We had a great time and memory at the NP, and appreciate the Rangers' kind support and advice!

We had sites 43B and 44B. There are 8 of us in my family so we needed two campsites. These sites were across the road from each other. Site 44B was very private and had limited parking. I should have gotten 43B and the campsite (30?) right below us on the loop. We had to either walk through the campsites below us or take a much longer walk around the loop to reach the bathroom. We only walked through the campsites when they were empty. We were very close to the river, and we walked down to it almost every afternoon to play in it. The campground was a quiet place to stay for four nights including over the weekend and was nice to return and relax at after exploring the other areas of Yosemite.

Wonderful campground. The river is such beautiful white noise at night. Very quieter. It is hard to believe 6 people could fit at sure 45c. We had 4 people and 2 tents and barely fit. Clean, well stocked restrooms.

Beautiful River-side camp site (51). Large spot for our 6 person tent plus plenty of space for the kids to play and explore. Clean flushing toilets with soap and water for handwashing. The only drawback is there are no showers in Wawona. The closest showers were in Oakhurst or Yosemite Valley. Wawona campsites were much more spacious compared to the ones we saw in Yosemite Valley. I would gladly camp here again if in Yosemite.

Wawona was grrreat!!! We were disappointed that we couldn't get a spot in the Valley, but Wawona was about a 25-minute drive and offered VERY pleasant camping experience next to a Merced River fork that was clear and jumpable. Our family had a blast, and even biked around the entire campground for added adventure! This is equally, if not better, location for exploring the Glacier point ridge.

Honestly loved this campground! Our site was right by the river, which made for a beautiful and peaceful setting. The bear boxes were spacious and easily fit everything we needed to store. There was plenty of parking—enough for two cars per site—and most of the bathrooms had lights, which was a nice. While there weren’t any showers nearby, we rinsed off in the river and used the showers at Curry Village without any issues.
