This river front campsite located in loop B was beautiful. I would definitely book it again. It has plenty of space for two camping houses. The campsite was a little slanted but it didn't get in the way of setting up our tents. I appreciate that this campsite has only about 10 sites so it was fairly quiet and peaceful unlike loop C which can get crowded. It's about a 30 min drive to get to Yosemite valley and about a 10 min drive to Chilnualna falls which is a beautiful hike. There is also the Wawona General Store nearby where you can buy snacks, ice, wood, gifts, and many other things!

Our campsite at camp Wawona was great. It had everything we needed for a relaxing camping experience. The site we selected had a space to park our car right next to our and was a short walk to the facilities. I three space had ample room for a tent and the fire pit had a nice grate to cook meals on if you prefer to do it over a campfire. The campsite was clean and there was even dead wood that was ok to pick up and use for your campfires. The rangers that worked the site were very friendly as well. This location was pretty close to the entrance after entering Yosemite National Park and was a easy 45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. I would recommend early to mid May visiting Yosemite, it's not crowded and Yosemite Falls is flowing pretty nicely, as well as the other water falls in the park. Oh, you should also check out the Misty Trail, it wax amazing!

We were right by the river and across the bathrooms. It was the perfect location. The campground is gorgeous. We'll definitely do it again.

Great campsite with shade. Sites are more spread out than the valley and this one is up against the river. Not super easy to access the river immediately behind but if you walk down a bit you can dip your feet in. Management was great and came by to check us in since we got in late the night before. Was a bit buggy when we were here mid May.

Very nice campground away from the crowds in the central valley, but just a 30 minute drive in. Also, very close to Mariposa Grove and a short drive to Oakhurst for supplies. There are two small general stores close, but they are pricey. The campground itself sits near the river and during our stay a group of wild turkeys roamed the property. The rangers and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were kept clean and stocked and the one nearest loop A is heated. There is a dump station just up the road near the hotel. My only complaint with Wawona is that most of the pull through sites in loop A are not level, so may take some time and moving around to get a larger rig setup. I also didn't care for the pull through sites in Loop A essentially being pull off with no separation from the road. Our trailer is small with no slides, but a couple of nights our across the street neighbors were in a Class A with multiple slides which nearly blocked the roadway and made for a tight fit.
