Our site was right on the Merced river - cold to swim in, but beautiful. The campground has clean bathrooms with sinks and flush toilets. There are also a few water spigots around the campground. There is a nearby dump station with water fill-up if you have a camper/trailer. Staff are friendly and helpful. This campground is about an hour's drive from the valley. It is a scenic drive, but windy - take it slow if you are prone to motion sickness.

A very nice place along the river, very calm at this period of the year, with many places available. Excellent spot to visit the south part of the park, starting of course with Mariposa Grove.

We had a wonderful stay at Wawona even if it was already quite chilly at night. You can easily reach Glacier Point road + Yosemite Valley and on the other side take nice hikes at Wawona and/or Mariposa Grove.
We did. the hike to Mariposa Grove starting at parking as the shuttle did not operate. It was a marvellous hike!

Beautiful campground with great views of the river. We came in late October and by this time it was very cold with most restrooms and water taps closed. It’s unfortunate that we were staying in the B loop, yet the restrooms and taps there were closed. However, the tap and restrooms were open near the entrance by the A loop. Additionally, if you stay in B loop, the sites aren’t very level, however they are still beautiful. A loop is flat.

Beautiful campground near the river. Wawona area is a quiet area compared to the Yosemite valley. Loop A near the main access road to the park. Loops B and C more suitable for tents.

Absolutely loved this location in the campground. Only thing i would hope for, is for the speed limit to be enforced better. The campsites ar3 close to the road and people drive fast

beautiful campsite and nicely spaced from other sites. extremely peaceful with beautiful tree and the sound of the flowing creek nearby. my family loved our stay here. the rangers were all so very helpful and the bathrooms were kept very tidy. about 45 min drive to yosemite valley which might seem like a far drive, the views along the way make the time flyby. 5/5

Stayed at 087c on October 22. Enjoyable stay, spacious flat sites, clean restrooms, ample potable water. The ranger who checked us in was super friendly. Site is about 30 minutes from the valley. I’m glad I had a 10 degree mummy bag, the nighttime temp was mid 30s. We bought our firewood in town, priced a little higher than we were used to.

A very nice campground, nicer than expected. Clean bathrooms, quiet campers, staff at entry. Above and beyond expectations.
