What Guests Are Saying
Yosemite Creek Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting, with well-maintained sites and clean restrooms. Many campers appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to nature, and the opportunity to see wildlife. However, access can be challenging due to a rough and lengthy road, and some visitors noted issues with noise from nearby campers and site cleanliness upon arrival. Overall, it's a great spot for those seeking solitude and an immersive nature experience.

As you may know Yosemite Creek campground is 5 miles of mostly treacherous driving off the main road. When we arrived approximately 5pm August 20th our reserved site was taken and the occupant refused to leave stating that he had reserved the sight. There was no way to prove who was correct - no one of authority on site, of course, no cell service to call for assistance and the pay phone didn't work. We had no options but to leave the campground because as of earlier in the day the reservation system showed ALL sites reserved. Rather than drive out and "search for cell service" to solve the issue we decided to pick a spot and hope that no one showed up sometime in the middle of the night to claim the site. It was a long sleepless night wondering if someone was going to show up. The worst part of the whole situation was that the campground was less than 1/3 full even though the reservation system Saturday morning had shown the campground completely full. There is no way the reservation system isn't flawed.
After leaving the campground Sunday morning I called the "office" and spoke to Cory (not sure of the spelling) she was very kind and apologetic. She is definitely an asset to your organization.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was happy to get a reservation for my favorite campsite in one of my favorite campgrounds in Yosemite! It's been a few years since the campground has been opened, and I was hoping that the poor damaged picnic tables had been replaced by now, but sadly no. We brought our own table and I would suggest that anyone else who wants to camp here do the same if they have one.
That being said, we greatly enjoyed our stay at Yosemite Creek campground. It was clean and quiet, and there were chickadees, and chipmunks, and douglass squirrels to watch. We actually saw a black bear walking down the creek one day! That was a great sighting! We heard coyotes and owls calling at night too.
Yosemite Creek Campground isn't for everyone, but we always enjoy our stays there.

Excellent stay here. The only negative was just unfortunate timing to be camped near pit toilet on the morning the pumper truck arrived to pump out the toilet.

Long drive from the paved road and limited signage to get there.
