What Guests Are Saying
Yosemite Creek Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting, with well-maintained sites and clean restrooms. Many campers appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to nature, and the opportunity to see wildlife. However, access can be challenging due to a rough and lengthy road, and some visitors noted issues with noise from nearby campers and site cleanliness upon arrival. Overall, it's a great spot for those seeking solitude and an immersive nature experience.

Excellent stay here. The only negative was just unfortunate timing to be camped near pit toilet on the morning the pumper truck arrived to pump out the toilet.

Long drive from the paved road and limited signage to get there.

After paying the gate fee of 35 dollars and showing the guard/ranger that I had a reservation, she told me go to the valley floor. After an hour of looking for the camp site I stumbled into a campground ranger office where a ranger told me it’s 11/2 hour to the camp site and the last 5 miles is a bumpy four wheel drive vehicle not my Tesla. She said a ranger might get us a site in the valley floor but it was too late. The reservation site should have stated the last 5 miles isn’t paved and needs a high clearance vehicle. We ended up staying at the Tenaya Lodge for some unreasonable cost.

Bathroom was locked. No signage to the effect. Next bathroom required driving. No management came by to service or otherwise.
Our site was remote and private.
The campground was empty despite signs and rec.gov indicating it was full. This one itself indicates total mismanagement.
The other sites were pathetic. Wood picnick tables were in unusable conditions. ( They leave them out all winter) missing boards, warped to the point of rendering unusable. Yosemite np has their name on this site. They have the labor resources and financial resources to do better. The main issue is you can only get one of these inferior sites sight unseen from rec.gov. Only when you arrive do you find you've been swindled.

A bit grassy so early season mosquitos can be an issue. Great morning light then nice afternoon shade. The table is badly warped, and a bit snow crushed. Not as terrible as some but only partially usable.
No obvious tent pad.
Located just across from the old Tioga road extension being reopened to foot traffic: late July the Tiger Lillies, lupine and red Columbine were putting in a show.
