What Guests Are Saying

White Wolf Campground is praised for its beautiful location, spacious sites, and proximity to great hiking trails, including those leading to Cloud's Rest and Aspen Valley. While there were complaints about the lack of running water and restrooms, the portable toilets were well-maintained and clean. Many campers appreciated the quiet atmosphere and friendly fellow visitors, making it a favorite choice for future stays.

The campground use to be much much nicer. No water, no bathrooms, no nothing. It reminds me of a homeless encampment.

It did have some Portable toilets but all were overflowing and not serviced. Poor sanitation conditions.

Sorry but I will not return to Yosemite again. The whole experience was horrible

Disappointed to see referred maintenance, primarily at resturant buildings, employee structures and group camp.
Otherwise, beautiful and camp host (Stevie) was great!

Obviously, the National Park Service is not investing in White Wolf. There was no running water. The bathrooms were closed and they had porta potties. The roads in the campground were in very bad shape and full of ruts. This is a shame because the last time we were at White Wolf several years ago. it was fantastic and we had a great time. It’s a beautiful area. It is possible that since this was in early July they had just opened things up and water was not turned on. But still, things were pretty shabby.

The restroom situation at White Wolf is not good. They are VERY difficult to find at night. The are no lights and the portables are surrounded by campsites.

I chose this campground for my drive over Tioga Rd. beccause it was small compared to Tuolumne Meadows campground, presumably quieter, and secluded. It had all the beauty and wildness I expected.I reserved it a few days ahead of my July 5 stay and nearly every site was available to reserve. when I arrived the sign said Campground FULL. but there were multiple available sites as late as 10 PM. There is no portable water and the toilets are pit toilet with sinks to wash up. For me, car and tent camping, this is totally comfortable. For families with children tent camping this is probably impractical.

Sites were unkept, overgrown. No place to park vehicle. Site on a slope with no flat area for even a small tent.

We were looking for a campsite close to the valley for one night before we had our reservation in upper pines. Easily accessible but minimal facilities (only port a potty's). Site was clean and well maintained and would definitely recommend staying here if the location works for you. Tenaya lake is only 20 min away which is great to get there before the crowd does
