It’s always a pleasure to stay at Black Rock Campground. The facilities are excellent, especially the availability of potable water, which is rare in Joshua Tree NP. The proximity to Yucca Valley fills in any facility gaps as well. Black Rock Campground is one of my favorite places to stay when I visit Joshua Tree NP.

The campsite was great in and of itself but the campers on site had terrible manners. Facilities on the campsite were clean. The toilets had running water, soap, and toilet paper. On the campgrounds are water pumps to wash your dishes with. There are benches and barbecue pits. It's also really wonderful that you can sleep under Joshua Trees. However, the other guests on the campsite were very loud even past midnight. It's hard to get a good night's sleep.

Beautiful Joshua Trees were all around us. Clean bathrooms with plenty of hiking trails.
We came in September, before the fires were allowed, so a portable gas stove made a difference. The stars look amazing from there too.
