Beautiful spacious site with shade from the Joshua Trees or sunshine in between. The trees are taller than in the park and you can see some interesting birds, like the Road Runner and cute looking ones sitting (and singing in the morning) of these sharp "leaves". Also a perfect place to see and photograph a wide sky with zillion of stars. We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back for more ... We spend the day driving/walking/hiking in the Joshua Tree NtP and at the end we found the big trees we are looking fore right in the campground!

This campground was located perfectly to visit Joshua Tree National park as well as 29 palms and the surrounding area. I slept in a tent for 2 nights at Black Rock Canyon campsite. It was secluded enough to have a private camping experience yet still only about 10 minutes away from food and coffee options as well as a Walmart. The campgrounds and bathrooms were extremely clean and well maintained. Other campers were very respectful and I felt very safe. Rangers were on site by 7:30am and making rounds shortly there after. Highly recommend, would definitely come back and would like to thank everyone who made this a wonderful experience for a not super experienced camper like me.

Solid site! There's a little space between the site and the nearest neighbors with nice trails along the side. Restrooms are not to far, and well kept. The site is not the most flat, but I've slept on worse! I ended up pitching the tent between the bushes and slept like a baby. Would consider this site again!
