What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting with helpful and friendly hosts, clean facilities, and great access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites and scenic views, making it a favorite camping spot. However, some concerns were raised about road conditions and noise from generators, which detracted from the overall experience for a few guests.

We had a great private spot at Lakeview. It was fun seeing the cows roam beside the campground. Vault toilets were very clean and campground host was very friendly.

Camp site #48 is right next to the host and firewood for sell. This site was beautiful with a lake view. We used a tent and placed our food in the back end of our truck. There is no bear containers to store food but we didn't have any issues. The picnic tables are large. The ground surface was flat but weeds were noted. We parked out truck and Jeep on this site without a problem. There are two non flushing bathrooms walking distance but no showers. I will say the stars at night were the best we have seen!

We had a great trip to Lakeview Gunnison (3rd year in a row). We had a slightly different spot this year than the previous two, but it was just as great as ever. Last year was very rainy and this year is was quite nice overall. Plenty of fuel to burn whether you buy from the cap host or cut your own from already downed trees in the nearby landscape, 5-10 miles away. Lots of fishing in the area and many places to explore off road on ATV or 4WD vehicles. The campsite is well maintained by the volunteer camp hosts and we thank them for their time and commitment to making this a great place for everyone. We will be very happy to return again next year.
