What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting with helpful and friendly hosts, clean facilities, and great access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites and scenic views, making it a favorite camping spot. However, some concerns were raised about road conditions and noise from generators, which detracted from the overall experience for a few guests.

Crystal and her parents were excellent camp hosts. We had a great spot with a view of the lake. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.
The bear running through the campground offered a bit of excitement but we were prepared with our bear canister - thankfully we did not need to use it !! ; )

Beautiful views of Taylor Park Reservoir and the mountain ranges to the north! We were in site #11 in the middle loop with no hook-ups. By the 4th night, our solar was not doing the trick because of shade and cloudy days, so we moved down to a site on the lower loop, the loop with electric hookups. The hosts did a terrific job. Vault toilets were kept clean, and the campground in general was very clean.
One important thing to be aware of is that this campground allows ATV's, motorcycles (dirt bikes), etc. to operate within the campground. There is also an ATV Trail that starts on near site #7. If you're an ATV enthusiast, you'll probably love this! If you prefer the piece and quiet of being in the outdoors (my preference), the presence and noise associated with all the ATV's may be an irritant. If we had picked a site on the western end of the middle or upper loops, the ATV's may not have bothered us as much and there are still some sites on the end with terrific views.
Will we camp here again? Probably so but will make sure we get a site in the electric loop (quieter, less ATV's) or on the western end of the upper or middle loops!

Overall it was good. Been going there for years. One guy wanted our generators quiet. Had to explain we would observe quiet hours at the appropriate time, but the middle of the day, we were going to run our generators. The people at the general store are nowhere near as polite as the previous owners. I would recommend avoiding the general store at all cost. Camp hosts were very friendly, but the firepits were not clean when we arrived, and were never cleaned the entire week. We had 3 campsites, so we cleaned one firepit and didn't use the other two. I love Lakeview, but I've had better stays.
