What Guests Are Saying
Ute Campground features friendly and helpful camp hosts, with many reviewers noting the clean restrooms and shaded sites. While heavy rains caused some site accessibility issues and campground conditions were affected, the location near Chimney Rock National Monument and surrounding scenic activities is a significant advantage. The camp hosts were. Wry friendly but the campground was in poor condition. Heavy rains from the week before washed out many pad entrances. The dips were so significant that some trailers would not have been able to pass. My original pad had rows of washed pine needles etc that I couldn’t get my van leveled. The hosts apologized and said they requested help from the forest service but none had been done yet. Some notice would have been nice.

Was not able to use the site I had reserved (#9). Storms and flooding the week before messed up the campground and caused clearance issues at the site. Moved to #13 which was easier to enter. Bathroom was very clean but a long walk. Camp host was helpful.

Wonderful host (cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen in my life), quiet campground, shaded sites. Was a good mid-point campground for visiting Durango, Pagosa Springs, and Chama.

Lovely campground! We were able to check in early and tour the area. Our site faced the mountains leaving us feel the forest was ours! Camp host was super friendly.

Camp Host, Mike, was very helpful and welcoming. The grounds were all in good order. This place is a hidden gem and a great base station for us while touring the nearby scenic activities... quick drive to Pagosa Springs, Treasure Falls and Chimney Rock right across the way. Highway road noise was minimal and did not disturb us during evening hours. Would stay there again!

No cellular (AT&T) as expected. Camp host was very helpful in getting us situated in a campsite that better matched our needs than the one we'd reserved. Great spot in the woods -- very little exposure for solar. No-See-Ums in June; bring repellent.

The Ute Campground is well kept. The camp host was helpful with information regarding an upcoming rainstorm. He kept campers informed. We will camp there again.
