Ute Campground features friendly and helpful camp hosts, with many reviewers noting the clean restrooms and shaded sites. While heavy rains caused some site accessibility issues and campground conditions were affected, the location near Chimney Rock National Monument and surrounding scenic activities is a significant advantage. We choose this campground to be near the Chimney Rock NM which is about one mile away. The campsites are spacious lovely treed sites. The camphost is knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a map and other printed materials for the Pagosa Springs area. The campsites are well cared for. There is a spigot for water near the entrance and 2 sets of clean pit toilets in the camp. You can get spotty reception up the hill or if needed wifi at the public library about 15 miles away in town where there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants and shopping as well as the hot springs. Very relaxing and peaceful stay at Ute. We would definitely return.

Campground was very clean and quiet with beautiful scenery. Not far from many of the wonders Pagosa Springs has to offer.

Very nice and quiet campground. Camp host was helpful in telling us about nearby attractions. No electricity, water available at campground to fill tank on travel trailer, no dump station. Only pit toilets but kept very clean.

Best camp host we have ever had. She came to our site after we were set up and offered activity and attraction information for things in the area. In the 5 years we've been camping in Colorado this is the first time we have had such an attentive camp host.

The campsite was large, clean and quiet with old growth trees. The camp host was friendly and gave us info about things to do in the area.
