The camp host was so nice, and the bathrooms were he cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen in my life. Clearly some very caring people work here!

Nice, quiet, clean campground. Very close to Chimney Rock National Monument(our motivation for choosing the campground!). Friendly, helpful camp host.

Quiet, rustic, mostly empty, well kept up, squeaky clean unsmelly vault toilets (with the TP ends folded in triangles!), potable water, and bearproof dumpster, cared for by one of the most thoughtful camp hosts we've met yet. Had only a small bit of trouble making the reservation on rec.gov, but easily rectified. Don't miss visiting Chimney Rock Nat'l Monument while staying at Ute Campground.

Campground host was nice and helpful, campsite was what we needed for a large tent and bathroom was clean.

The camp hosts were. Wry friendly but the campground was in poor condition. Heavy rains from the week before washed out many pad entrances. The dips were so significant that some trailers would not have been able to pass. My original pad had rows of washed pine needles etc that I couldn’t get my van leveled. The hosts apologized and said they requested help from the forest service but none had been done yet. Some notice would have been nice.

Was not able to use the site I had reserved (#9). Storms and flooding the week before messed up the campground and caused clearance issues at the site. Moved to #13 which was easier to enter. Bathroom was very clean but a long walk. Camp host was helpful.

Wonderful host (cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen in my life), quiet campground, shaded sites. Was a good mid-point campground for visiting Durango, Pagosa Springs, and Chama.

General
- All sites are overnight use.
- There are no handicap accessible sites.
- Pets are allowed at all sites, leashes are required. Horses and pack animals are NOT permitted.
- All sites have drive up accessibility with no hike-in. All feature fire rings and allow camp fires.
- All parking spurs are gravel and are large enough to accommodate an extended cab pickup truck size (approximately 20 feet in length) and wide enough for dual rear wheels. All cargo/utility trailers must fit within the campsite parking area. ATV's and boats on trailers may NOT be off-loaded within the campground. No additional parking is provided within the facility.
- NO sites have designated tent pads.
- None are located near a body of water.
- None feature cabins, beds, showers or boating facilities.
- NO dump station.
- First Come First Served (FCFS) Campsites are also available at this campground
