Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon

This is mine and my fiancée3rd time here
We came for Valentine’s Day didn’t ask but our glamping cabin got upgraded to the same cabin we got engaged in and the staff knew about our story and bright us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our weekend. Burt at the front desk was absolutely amazing couldn’t recommend this place enough have never had a bad experience yet. First choice for camping every time highly recommend! 💯

I stayed in a cabin during my hunting season and had great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful bathrooms were clean convenience store was stocked up great place to stay.

Dylan was awesome! He was extremely helpful and sweet. I usually stop at base camp on my way to work for some breakfast. Great place! 😁

Tent camping isn't a great idea in the area 21. Spaces are very cramped. I had issues with someone pulling on my truck handles at night. I wound up sleeping in my truck instead of camping. The noise was alot. I also was blocked in with no way out from 9pm until 8am. That was a lot of money wasted for no experience.

That particular spot is nestled against a busy road as well. I wish I could get my money back.

If you choose the other side for camping you should be fine. Still very tight to get in and out but nothing was obstructing the drive.

We host a large event at this campground and have done so for the past 15 years. The entire staff have been wonderful to work with every year and are incredibly accommodating for such an unusual happening that we bring to their campground. I would like to pay a special thank you to the manager Dylan for working with us to make our event so special. We can be an unwieldy undertaking and he's helped to pull off the impossible and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you and much love to everyone at Base Camp!
