We love this campground. We have been going there many years and enjoy the beauty and simplicity. There is good hiking and a lovely walk to Lake Isabel. Our camp host was excellent.

I love camping at St. Charles. Unfortunately, I left 2 days early because of altitude sickness.
When I arrived, I was experiencing difficulty with my car and the camp hosts came to my rescue in a big way, going above and beyond their usual high quality of service. a huge THANK YOU to Terri, Laurie and Steve for their assistance.
For being full, the campground was quiet through the night and other guests were courteous. I really appreciated this.
My campsite was clean enough, only the fire ring was full of partially burnt wood. I enjoyed the size and layout of the site (#12).
Toilets were kept supplied with toilet paper, but the floors had unsightly old sludge along the edges.
One other thing that I noted is the amount of damage to the environment, with many, many trees that were uprooted and broken. Apparently, some severe storms passed through since last fall.
I hope to return for day visits again in the future.

The camp host, I believe his name was John Becker, was the nicest and most caring camp host we have ever had. He checked on and asked if he can do anything to make our stay better. Very impressed with him, and the campground was beautiful as usual.
