This is one of our favorite camping spots. We always select the same site as it is close to the stream that runs through the campground and we can hear the water cascading over a small waterfall all night. So peaceful. The wildflowers were in full bloom and exceptionally beautiful this year which added to the appeal of the nearby lake and the campground. We look forward to our trip to Lake Isabel again next year.

Best campground we have experienced in Colorado!! Small, quiet, clean and most spaces were large and private. I wouldn't recommend for large rigs as back in spaces we rather short. Best for under 28 ft RV's or tenters.

The reservation experience was confusing. I had planned to stay several days. When I reserved the spot in February I was only able to reserve 1 day with subsequent days being listed as first come first served (FF). Somewhere between February and June they opened the FF days to reservation only. I was unaware of this and missed the opportunity to reserve the additional days I wanted.
I didn't stay here and forfeited my 1 reserved day when I found a FF walk-in site at La Vista a short drive up the road.
