We love camping at the St. Charles campground. It is one of our favorite places, but it is hard to get into anymore due to how many people are camping. You really need to make reservations way far in advance. But it is worth it!

Very nice camp ground. Pump water at site was not clear, but a short drive to the next camping area revealed a spigot with clean chlorinated water.

From Pueblo, go 25 miles south on I-25 to exit 74. Drive west 18 miles on state Highway 165. Turn into the main entrance at Lake Isabel Recreation Area and drive to Forest Road 374, the second left. Follow signs to the campground.
