Campsites were nicely wooded with tall pines for shade, most sites were semi private. Bathrooms were very clean thanks to a conscientious hostess. The river was running too fast for fishing. The town of Marble is close by. A lot of people were eating at its 2 restaurants. Many ATV-ers. Marble is cute for a quick historical walk. Overall, great campground. Know you can hear the road if that bothers you. Traffic isn’t bad.

Great little campground. We stayed at site 35. Aspen trees on both sides so felt private. There’s an uphill path that leads to the fire pit and picnic table. Some might not like the short walk but for us wasn’t an issue. Our 20ft camper fit nicely and was easy to back in. Would definitely stay again.
Slow Groovin BBQ and The Hub are places to check out.

I love this campground! Beautifully maintained, tons of semi-private camp sites along the rushing Crystal River.

We had reserved the group site for a family reunion on Mother's Day weekend. We received a reminder notification from Recreation.gov on 5/8. Eight families arrived (separately with campers or tents) between 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 5/10 only to find the GATES LOCKED with a sign that said CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. Six of the families turned around and drove back home (2-4 hours one way) since there were NO camp hosts at either the regular campground or the group campground and no cell service. We drove to Redstone to use a phone (there is no cell service) to contact Recreation.gov but were unable to get through to anyone. We were the second family to ask to use the phone due to the unexpected closure. When we found someone, we were told that they were NOT opening until the 13th!
We have requested a refund from Recreation.gov on three occasions. They gave us $60.40 of the $612 for the first request. We've submitted two additional requests since then and have been denied. Recreation.gov says there is nothing more they can do and that we will need to contact American Land & Leisures...
We love this campground. But, this has put a VERY bad taste in our mouth.
We showed up when we were supposed to!

Beautiful area with no ATVs early in the season as roads are still blocked by snow. Camp hosts were very friendly and kept place clean.
