My wife, our dog, and I had a great night's stay. Large individual camp sites next to the river, solid no-bears food lockers, nearby water spigot and toilets, were all good. We were in a site in the trees, but it did look like there were several sites further into the campground that were less tree-covered and, thus, less desirable in our view.

The camp host shut the water off at the campground two days before the campground closed for the season. We arrived later in the day after they had shut off the water. We did not haul water in our RV (over two mountain passes) specifically for the reason the campground showed having water available on site... It was going to be a 50 mile round trip to try and find some place to get water. Very poor camp host in my experience.

Beautiful and remote place next to the river, we stayed one night and took our truck up to the Mill. Lots of trees and a decent amount of privacy with many spacious sites. The camp host was kind and the vaults were clean.
Make sure you are prepared, there are no services for many miles except for an amazing bbq place and a small cafe in Marble.
The only downside is there is a bit of road noise as you are below the road, but it was acceptable to me. Imagine if the river was running earlier in the season I wouldn't have noticed.
