Karen and Rob are amazing hosts. The campground has never been maintained this well. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and they made our stay one of the best we have had here. We have been coming for years, and I sincerely hope to see them again next year.

The newer campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping the campground looking great. The bath/shower house was clean each and every time we used it during our 2 week stay. They also had a lot of information about the area and suggestions of things to do.

Great site with view of cliffs, convenient water and electric, only a mile from hot springs, Coke ovens, and quaint historic village of Redstone, super friendly and helpful host.

The campsite was just fine.
The water was shut off a week before the campground closed for winter, which was quite annoying.

I Love Redstone Campground! I would have given it 5 stars but this is the 2nd year in a row it has not had water at the MECH side. Outside of that it was a great stay.

The sinks and showers were locked.

This is a small but very private campground. We camped in the MECH loop and we had to walk into the campground road to see any other campers. There is a lot of dense undergrowth. Very pretty surroundings. It is close to the town. When we were there, there was no water - all the water spigots were covered with a plastic bag - probably caused by the drought.

Karen, our camp host went above and beyond to make our stay the best. When we were delayed because of road conditions, she even called b/4 giving our site up. We have never had someone call and be so thoughtful! She was friendly, enjoyable to speak with, and informative of what was in the town of Redstone. The camp sites were lovely, bathrooms were spotless and smelled clean. She made our experience at Redstone one we will remember!

We have been camping here for 20+ plus years. We love the campground. We have had issues the past few years with overbearing campground hosts. In my opinion, they are here to help us, not be a hindrance when we are following campground rules.

Redstone is accessible via I-70 to Highway 82, which is approximately 12 miles from Glenwood Springs, followed by Highway 133 south for about 15 miles.
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
