We were there mid-week in August. Delightful place, quiet, pretty.

Be sure to map to 306A to get to right spot on mountain, just next to Rampart Reservoir. From main access road RR is signed, but not the campground.

Enjoy.

Beautiful and clean site. Very quiet and private feeling even with neighbors nearby. The hike down to the reservoir is like a fairy tale with all the wildflowers growing around the aspens. Will definitely visit again!

Arrived after sunset to find my campsite was full even with my name printed on the post. Had to sleep in my car.

The sites themselves are amazing! The scenery, access to the reservoir (3/4 mile hike), fishing, hiking and enjoying nature were fantastic. It was a great way to get away from the crowds and feel like you were secluded and in the nature. The view of Pikes Peak was awe inspiring. Well-kept bathrooms and sites were positive. There is very little cell service which allows you to disconnect with modern distractions. That can be a positive or negative depending on the individual. Don't expect to have internet or cell service. The main concern with this location is the roads. The road leading to the site is not for the faint of heart. The potholes and washboards were enough to "knock out a tooth-filling". The key is to go fast enough to "skip" over the potholes. We did see a Motorhome on a site, but I'm shocked they were able to make it safely.

If you're looking for seclusion and nominal people, this is the site for you!

Woodland Park is about a 15-35 minute drive depending on how fast you travel on the gravel road leading to the area.

Campground was well kept. Restrooms were clean and the hosts were gracious and friendly but not on your case about everything.

This is a delightful small campground that I wish would stay a secret. The small size makes it generally quiet. The highlight is the proximity to the reservoir via a trail. This corner of the reservoir is a slice of paradise.
The road in can be wash boarded and this year, it had a few very large potholes so be prepared to take it slow.
