Meadow Ridge campground is praised for its beautiful location, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite among visitors. Very clean grounds and toilets, and plenty of space between sites. The trail to the reservoir was very convenient, although a bit steep for those of us with little kids and little legs hiking back up. Lots of day trails around the reservoir. All were busy, but we expected that since it was Labor Day weekend. We would definitely recommend the site and will be back in the future. Stayed in #14

The campsite too close to bathrooms. Smelled like sewage the entire time we were there’re. Very unpleasant.

The campground and our site, # 14, were wonderful. Beautiful forest, well laid out.The bathrooms were kept very clean and our camp host, Shay, was very nice. Unfortunately, we ended up with the epitome of the "ugly American" in the site next to us. They had a construction grade generator that was extremely loud and they ran it all afternoon and part of the evening. Then they had about 20 of their closest friends and family over for dinner and partied loudly right up to the 10 PM cut off. Their dog barked continuously. They ruined the peace and quiet that you expect in a campground of this type. Granted, this is not the fault of the campground, it was just our bad luck. You can't choose your neighbors.

This campground is very clean and the sites are well maintained. It appears the National Parks Department did a very nice job laying out all campsites

We camped at Site # 2 and loved the quiet atmosphere and of this campground. We camp with a 20 ft travel trailer, and truck and camper fit nicely. The campsite was quite large , but our neighbors felt quite close because we were in the middle section of the campgrounds. This campgrounds is on the top of a mountain , so it was quite windy sometimes, but we still loved it for our needs. There was no cell phone service so you will need to go back into town if you really need to talk. The walking trail by the campgrounds was fun and sometimes a little steep; with the water as your final destination. You can drive to another area and go kayaking which was amazing with gorgeous views of Pikes Peak. The road to this campgrounds is very bumpy with only stone and dirt, while the road inside Meadow Ridge Campgrounds is paved.

This was a great area for camping! A little ways from the lake, requires a hike. Down to the lake is not too bad, but that trip back up, just be prepared! Overall great campground and the camp host was awesome.

We loved this campground! It was a bit of a drive on non-paved roads to get out there but it was worth it. Beautiful views, large and shaded campsites, very clean bathrooms. There was a trail down to a lake that was a nice little hike!

Ver nice place. The camp host was excellent, on duty and on call. We saw him making his rounds and He came at our request to clean out our fire pit.
