One thing we’d love to see improved is the bench seating around the fire pit — it’s clearly seen a lot of good years, but it’s really showing its age now. The wood has started splintering and the concrete blocks underneath are exposed, which made us a little nervous with kids running around in the evening. We know upkeep on a property like this is a lot of work, and we still had a wonderful time — this is just a small fix that would make the space even better for families like ours.

The bathrooms were well maintained and clean. A LOT of room for tents and trailers. Next to the Centennial Trail (Trail #669). Manitou lake is just a bit north and looks really nice. When the fire restrictions are lifted (some day, we hope) there is a large firepit partially surrounded by a lot of bench seating. But if you bring portable fire pits (we brought 4) and put them where the wood is supposed to be, you have a pretty good heat source for evening chats under the stars. Our group did a "perimeter sweep" and picked up a lot of small plastic alcohol bottles (almost FireBall). So we left it much cleaner (it was pretty localized along the front fence). The campground was really clean in general. Big open areas for playing catch. It is a deceptively harsh terrain for Bocce Ball, so it is a great area for Bocce Ball. We ended up a small group, so it was great to have the whole campground to ourselves. The only downside was the traffic from 67. It wasn't very bad, and it drops off a lot at night. Don't let it stop you from making the reservation.

We had a large family reunion last weekend. The campground was perfect for our size of family with 10 trailers/Rvs parked in the lot and several tents setup we had plenty of space. We were bummed there were no campfires due to the drought, but it was a wonderful time. The camp hosts were located just across the street and were very kind when we had questions. I would stay here again!

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site types & loops
- The use of drones is not permitted in the campground.
