They seem to open whenever they want and the office closes down 100% for lunch, which is incredibly inconvenient for everyone else in the city.

Young big guy there is maybe the worst person I have had to deal with. Apparently cannot read an anolog clock. Cannot print simple items that can only be printed at this location or fairplay. I have never left a bad review ever. But I guess there is a first for everything. Except for him being able to tell time.

Absolutely horrible service. I got there at 410 to get a firewood permit and the person says that the computers are so slow today and it will be past 430 to complete so I have to come back another day. I told him I would have to take off more time from work to do that. His response was "you should do that" he tells me he stops working at 415 although the hours are until 430. I come back another day at 1245. Their website says closes from 12-1230. There is a sign posted on the door thay says we will be back at 1155. I waited for another half hour and no one showed. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is no way to get the permit online and you can't get the employees to do their job.

Camped with my BookClub. There were 18 of us. We’ve been all over CO in different campgrounds but this was the BEST!! Campground itself was circular so from tents to BIG rigs we all fit nicely. Big area to seat people around the campfire. 4 lrg picnic tables in a row to spread food and eat. Each individual site had a picnic table and fire pit. 1 Pit bathroom for men and 1 for women. Area fenced in with a gate. The Red Rocks were a quick 20 min hike and you could spend many’s days climbing around on the beautiful rocks. Across the road from campground was a beautiful hiking trail that paralleled a steam. Really lovely!! Would go again. Perfect for family reunions. ❤️ Judy

Closed this week, August 11-15. No notice provided online and closest alternatives are Florissant and RMNP, unfortunately. Does look like the regular hours listed on Google are correct, at least per the posted sign.

So I am not sure what is happening here. I called, guys says he is open (apparently it’s a one man show). No mention that the office is closed and you have to drive to memorial park. Phone does not get answered, I called 13 times and finally drive down. Nobody there, the guy apparently comes and goes as he pleases, and there is only one person at the whole office? So I come back again, nobody here. All I want is firewood permit, and you have to go in person. The Weber office can pay for my fine of collecting firewood if this is how they run their Pikes Peak District of the USFS. Guess I’ll try and find the time the employee “feels” like working

Best spent $20 dollars ever! Such a wonderful and fun experience! Our 4 year old loved it. Dress warm, bring hot apple cider, food and a sled. It was absolutely beautiful up there today and now our house smells AMAZING. ❤️
