Truly outstanding! Beautiful site. Very quiet. Shout out to the volunteers who clearly care deeply for this place. Facilities in great condition, very clean. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. Best camping experience in RMNP!

Loved our time at Aspenglen. Great location, close enough to Estes Park but still felt remote enough. Bathroom facilities are well maintained. Campsites have a fire ring, tent pad, driveway for the car. Great trails close to campsite. Beautiful, breathtaking scenery. Just make sure to look if there is a burn ban in place before you go. Will absolutely be back.

Nice clean campground with bear locks. Bathrooms were very nice, being actual toilets, running water, and being inside. Camp host was very nice and accommodating with our car tag when the ranger was absent.

We spent 3 nights at site B-11, camping in a 19' van. After making the reservation months in advance and finding the information about tent-only vs. camper sites confusing, a friend living in Estes Park visited the site and measured it for us. I was a little concerned about not having enough room to park, but it worked out OK. The other sites in the B loop had slightly larger vehicle pads - I would choose one of them next time. Our experience was very positive - other guests were quiet and the bathrooms and grounds were clean and nice. We enjoyed Endovalley, and being able to access Sprague Lake and Bear Lake without a timed entry reservation!

This campsite was the best ever! Yes, you have to walk in a bit, but the view is spectacular! Well worth it!!!
The facilities are the cleanest I have ever found in any camp. A small cart was available to help haul items down to the site. The person at registration was warm and helpful.

Great campground. Good facilities and location. The reservation comes with a free all day, all regions, reservation to the park itself for the length of stay, which makes it the easiest way to get a park reservation far in advance. The campground is in active bear territory, so anything with.a scent must be handled accordingly.

The campground was nice but at around 5 pm on Wednesday a band just on the other side of the park boundary started playing very loud music. I realize Aspenglen is located right next to Estes Park but you would think the business owners in town would have more respect for the campers. The music was so loud I hiked 2 mi west into RMNP and could still hear it. I came to RMNP to hear the birds sing and elk bugle and NOT to hear a cheesy announcer and a third rate band. I could have been more understanding if it were Friday or Saturday night but this was a Wednesday so during the week it was unacceptable. There should be some noise ordinance restricting noise pollution entering the park. And while I'm ranting; what's the deal with all the jets flying over the park? Once I got into the backcountry away from the car and other noise pollution a jet would fly over every 15 minutes. It's getting harder and harder to find any real peace and quiet in Colorado. Sad.

Drive on U.S. Highway 34 west from Estes Park. The closest entrance to the park is the Fall River Entrance. The turn for Aspenglen Campground is approximately 0.2 mi from the entrance, located on the left side of the road.
From Grand Lake, CO:
Drive on U.S. Highway 34 east, which becomes Trail Ridge Road inside the park. Enter at the Grand Lake Entrance. Follow Trail Ridge Road east across the continental divide approximately 40 mi. When you come to Deer Ridge Junction, follow the signs for Fall River Road and turn left. Follow Fall River Road east past Horseshoe Park and look for the entrance to Aspenglen Campground on the right side of the road. Aspenglen Campground is approximately 0.2 mi before the exit to the park.
Highway access
Aspenglen Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 34, which serves as the main access road from both Estes Park and Grand Lake.

General
- Need to Know - You must scroll down and read all of the "Need to Know Information" below. By completing your camping reservation, you are agreeing to the following items. Use the scroll bar in this small window to scroll and read all the information. Camping space is extremely limited. Ensure your camping unit or equipment will fit in your chosen site. Other options may not be available. Be aware - Vehicles larger than 30-feet are not permitted in Aspenglen campground.
- Roads & Construction When traveling to the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, please pardon our mess. In the town of Estes Park, crews are working to improve access to and from RMNP. Inside Rocky, construction is wrapping up from a major improvement project at the Fall River Entrance. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive and pack your patience; these critical projects will greatly improve access to Rocky Mountain National Park for current and future visitors.
- Entrance Fee - A park entrance fee is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park, or show your annual or lifetime park pass. You may pay the entrance fee upon arrival. Pass Discounts on Camping. If you use a Senior or Access Pass for a camping fee discount while booking a reservation, you must present the pass and photo ID upon check-in.
- Site Limits. Each site is limited to eight (8) persons and one camping unit (i.e., a tent, RV, or trailer/tow vehicle) plus one additional tent per standard nonelectric site. All tents shall be located on the tent pad. All additional camp structures must be self standing without impacts to vegetation or trees. Parking is limited to two (2) vehicles per site. A vehicle is defined as one vehicle, one trailer, one RV, or one towed unit. Each vehicle must be parked on the gravel or paved parking pad causing no resource degradation or encroachment onto the paved access road. Some sites will accommodate only one vehicle on the graveled parking pad. Extra vehicles must park in overflow areas. Maximum length of stay. The maximum length of stay during peak season is 7 nights. Please check the rules and regulations before making your reservation.
- Be Advised: Trailer length is the total maxium vehicle length allowable. (Trailer Length = Trailer + Hitch + Vehicle)
- Maximum Vehicle + Trailer Length = Vehicle + Trailer + Hitch = 30 ft at Aspenglen campground.
- No hookups. Aspenglen Campground does not offer RV hookups. No Dump Station. There is no dump station. No Shower or Laundry. There are no shower or laundry facilities in the campground; portable showers are prohibited.
- Food Storage and Wildlife. Bears, deer, elk, raccoons and skunks frequent the area. All food, pet food, cooking utensils and other scented items must be stored in a vehicle or in food storage lockers located in the campground.
- Firewood. Firewood is not available inside Aspenglen Campground. Firewood can be purchased at stores in Estes Park. Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
- Prohibited Wheeled Devices. Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters and similar devices are prohibited.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. Dispose of unwanted bait, worms, fish parts, or other organisms into the trash and not into the environment. For more information visit the National Invasive Species Information Center .
- ATTENTION: If you plan on renting an RV or camping equipment and having it delivered to Rocky Mountain National Park, it is your responsibility to make sure that the individual or business that you are renting the equipment from has a valid permit to do business in the park. It is illegal to conduct business in a park area without a permit, contract, or other written agreement. Renting from a business or individual without a Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) with the park may leave you without accommodations as the RV/camping equipment may be turned away upon delivery.
