We loved the hikes near Bear Lake. Timing with entry passes was tough, but very worth it. We camped in Aspen Glen (walk in sites) which was gorgeous.

Aspenglen is a great campground. Please don’t let misguided people in Washington DC ruin it.

Nice pine forest setting and new-looking, clean bathrooms. A paved trail started at the campground and provided a beautiful walk in the direction of (but not clear to) Estes Park. Would enjoy camping here again.

Our spot was not great, the person who checked us in was very grumpy.

Wow, what a find! I came here to unplug and this place totally delivered. The quiet was amazing—you can actually hear yourself think! But the real star of the show? The views. It felt like I had the whole landscape to myself. If you want a no-frills, incredibly beautiful, and quiet camping trip, this is it. I’m already planning my next visit.

Pretty well spaced campsites, and well maintained. Bathrooms clean. Enjoyed seeing deer and wild turkeys.

Sites that had been reserved weeks and months in advance became available as the date of our arrival approached. Rangers were very helpful in directing me to alternative sites when it appeared the campground was full.

The gate staff was pleasant upon arrival. We found out campsite clean and the washrooms were spotless. We appreciate the thoroughness of the camp staff in keeping our NP campgrounds a great place to stay while we hiked in the NP.
