I have always loved Aspenglen. The grounds do need to be cleaned up and tall grasses around sites mowed.

Leave pets at home if you want to hike the beautiful trails.
Don't expect the rangers to be as friendly and nice as they were when you camped at RMNP in past years.

This a great campsite with plenty of shade and great new bathroom on C loop! Close to the creek and visitor center, it was awesome to wake up in the park!

The A and B loops at Aspenglen are some of my favorite places to camp. I really enjoyed our site this time, 004 A. It has a decent amount of space between neighboring campsites, so you don't feel like you are right on top of one another. Especially with our 4 kids who tend to get loud, we didn't feel like we were disturbing the neighbors too much, maybe a little. This site is in decent walking distance to the restroom without being too close. You can also hear the river from this site (even though you cannot see it like you can from some of the walk-in sites), which was nice. This site is a very close walk to the amphitheater as well. I always enjoy Aspenglen campground.

Excellent Experience - I didn't meet the camp hosts personally but they have to be incredibly honest people for turning a $200 pair of air pods to the ranger station that I'd left behind at my campsite. The Ranger Station called me within an hour after I'd left to let me know that they had been turned into them. I can't thank the hosts and the rangers enough for their diligence in contacting me to get these returned to me.
Side note - The bathrooms or "comfort stations" as I believe they called them are the cleanest and nicest I've ever been in at any campground.

well-maintained campground, clean bathrooms. It was nice to have the river so close, as well as a path to get there and into town. Kudos to the folks who provide firewood. That was really pleasant to have on a rainy evening.
local attraction: Endovalley picnic area was uncrowded and provided a quiet creekside rest on a hot day.

This was our third time camping here and it never disappoints! While cooking dinner, we watched a family of wild turkeys forage on the hillside behind our site for about an hour and got to see them fly to the tree tops to settle in for the night. It was really special! Even for a busy campground, camp is always clean and quiet, and the Rangers clearly care about keeping it that way and drive by regularly. Highly recommend!
