What Guests Are Saying
Aspenglen Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, great location, and well-maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and private, tree-lined sites. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and helpful rangers, making it a favorable spot for camping. However, some noted a lack of sufficient food storage boxes and limited access to trails and water nearby, but overall, the experience remains highly positive.

Wonderful campground! Each site had it's own bear box and the scenery is amazing! There's a person who sells firewood and ice in the campground during certain hours and the rangers were very helpful in answering my questions. One star deduction for zero hiking trails near the campground (except if you want to walk on the road leading in).

This was the most beautiful campground we stayed at in RMNP. The staff was excellent and the facilities were immaculate. Only issue was not being able to fill our RV water tank at the campground. We just hauled water from the faucet to the camper when needed. Would definitely visit this site again.

We stayed at site C in loop A. walk in site and it was absolutely beautiful!! would def stay there again. It backs up to a river and you have some gorgeous views. plenty of trails near by to hike. we were sure if there was a fire pit and food storage since some walk in sites don't offer that but those amenities were there! Bathrooms super clean, water spicket that had potable water. We had an amazing time!

The campground was decent, clean, and the rangers cordial. Friendly would be a stretch but they did relay that they were very understaffed when we asked about ranger events at the amphitheater. And they did work hard to curb the lookie loo drive throughs from park guests. We saw a bear in camp - that was exciting and terrifying equally.
What really gave us a mediocre experience was the noise from the restaurants down the road, from the campground that floated right up the valley. Showtunes at 11:00pm at night at absolute clarity was not ideal. I recommend RMNP - I don’t recommend this campground.

We scoped out the whole campground during our stay and we’re pretty sure that B20 is the best spot in the whole campground! I’m also pretty sure that recreation.gov knows this and that’s why it’s only available four days in advance. You get lots of privacy between the two camp hosts and lots of spaces to hang hammocks. If you’re fortunate enough to snag a reservation enjoy yourself!
The one downside was the luxury wedding resort down the valley that played their music until 11:30 at night three days in a row, but if enough people complain then the rangers can go to the city and then the city can be like ‘are you serious?! People come here for the quiet, not to clearly hear your singalong wedding reception at 11 at night.’
Overall though, lots of shade, plenty of space, very good tent pad at 14x12 and if you’ve a trailer it’s a pull along so no backing in! 10/10 would come back to this site again if we could snag it. Bear sighting was free of charge!
