We stayed three (3) nights at Glacier Basin during our week long visit to RMNP. We had a beautiful view from A-24 - and was convenient to the restroom. Short walk to wood/ice house (on sale from 5-8pm). Much larger than Aspenglen and sites are pretty close together, but we enjoyed our neighbors! While large, close sites, and full the CG was overall quiet. ATT cell service was pretty good, Verizon okay. CG was clean and well maintained. One negative is that 4-6 sites had to share a bear box (Aspenglen has a bear box for each site. CG is on Bear Lake Road so no timed entry required (YAY!) and right across the street from the bus shuttle.

Great site! There’s no shade, so def bring a sun cover. The trees grew a bit more since the pics were taken so there’s a bit more privacy. We had noisy families with small children on site 104 (directly across), but all was good.

Please stay away so that there is a campground space for me when I want to go there. As usual, the Park Rangers were immensely informative and helpful in securing my tent campsite. In the sixty+ years that I have been going to National Parks, there has not been one time where they weren't really friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful campground. Great access to Bear Road trails. The sites are open so you see and hear your neighbors. Pay attention to the descriptions on sites. Some are a tight curved pull thru, some are on the side of the road and some tent only. Make sure you fit.

The views were phenomenal and my wife and I were really happy we chose Glacier Basin Campground out of the other options in the park. The park ranger was very friendly and knowledgeable. Deer walked thru day and night and we also seen an Elk at sundown. (Way more wildlife activity outside the campground) The restrooms were very very clean but the toilet paper was like thin sand paper and cheap, I would recommend brining your own. The location was perfect for the campground because we did several hikes off of Bear Lake Rd. We have Verizon and had spotty signal the first day but the following 3 days worked really well surprisingly. I would recommend this campground to anybody!

The views are stunning and the campground is laid out so that we could meet new people but weren't right on top of each other.

Plenty of space despite how close to the neighbors you are. Amazing views. Proximity to restrooms was a pro rather than a con. They were always clean, lights not too bright, and honestly never bumped into another person in the restroom our 3 nights there (women’s, and the women’s side is facing this site). Also surprised that I had good cell service (AT&T).

I wish the Wilderness Office stayed open past 3:30PM. Five would be much more helpful.
