Great site for a trailer as tent site on one side was further back and up the hill. No site on other side. One morning had a harem of elk behind my trailer and the bull right across the street from my campsite bugling away. Shuttle service from campground takes a long time to ride to Bear Lake as it goes to Cub/Fern Lake and back to campground before going to Bear Lake. Ended up driving to park and ride the next day and found parking.

The park itself was excellent, we tent camped in moraine campgrounds, stayed at the bottom of be loop my only complaint was the pit toilet was horrendous! There were no night lights no exhaust fan i think the power was off to the building so it smelled horrible! And the fresh water spigot that was supposed to be outside of the building didn't work either ,very disappointing considering the campgrounds was closed for two yrs for renovations!!!

I love this campground. It is so big and so crowded but extremely well maintained. Everyone on site is helpful and friendly. Every time I have stayed here I have had kind and respectful neighbors. The campsites are well designed and it's easy to find more secluded spots. The free shuttle system picks up at the campground and is the best and easiest way to get around the park. Thank you to all of the park staff!

This site was close to the restroom which was I personally didn’t like it because the lights bothered us to see millions of stars.
T-Mobile got fair signal.
Easy to commute to main hiking trails because it is inside the bear road.
Will be back again sometime.

My wife and I have cherished our National Parks for a long time, and always overlook the small things that may not be perfect, because we know the work that goes into our parks and just how special they are. However, seeing the American Flag flying at half staff to support the political deification of a an extremist bigot was extremely hurtful our entire weekend. Fortunately the scenery and hikes helped take away that pain, but it lingered all weekend, and created a shadow over our entire trip.

All was great. Good spot, but two restrooms closest to us were closed. Not a deal breaker, but our crew just had to hike a little further when they had to go to the restroom. Harder on the girls than the guys.
