What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers fantastic sites with great access to mountain biking trails, making it an ideal spot for family trips. The campground is clean, well-marked, and features nicely wooded areas for shade, along with newly paved access roads. However, some campsites are close together, which can lead to noise, and visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper as supplies may run out.

For the price I’d expect water and pay showers

Shocked to find this campground does not have potable water (or any water) and no trash facility. The no water portion should be posted bold on reservation/confirmation/and park entry as it made us have to travel back into town to get water for the second day which was not enjoyable.

Great campground and staying here is definitely the best way to experience the 18 Road trail system. Restrooms are clean and stocked with TP, sites are spread out well, and it’s great to be able to reserve a site before you commit to the drive.
Beware that many of the sites are terribly unlevel so shop around and come prepared.

We really enjoy our stays there. Clean, spacious, nice to have picnic tables and firewood. The only thing we wished was a little better was to have more choices of flatter ground for our RV. But we were able to adjust. Thanks

Ample space at our site and not a ton of noise despite it being a busy weekend. Fantastic experience!

Great, easy campsite for all the biking trails. Trails are located directly within and right out of the campground. Everything was clean and well maintained. Close to Fruita if you want to get food/supplies/a meal at a restaurant.

It was difficult to find the campground map while reserving the campsite.

Experience was good. There was no campground host (volunteer position was posted). The bathrooms were clean. There was no toilet tissue one day, but there was the next day.
