The last 6 miles of road in was unpaved and horrendous. The campground was scenic and basically empty but there was no host on-site and I had to reserve our site for an additional $8. You can't just pay for an unoccupied site when you arrive. I wouldn't recommend towing an RV over the terrible road.

Well, we got in the Sunday before Memorial weekend set up camp and rode PBR and Prime Cut. Met a lot of great folks from all over the world. We then proceeded to ride our butts off. Everybody was very nice on the trails no ass holes which is refreshing! The trails were in great shape even after a Monday night downpour and an early morning rain. All an all Fruita is always a great place to ride and camp.

We tried to use a RV in this space and it was very sloped.

I wish I had known there was no running water at this location.

We loved the campground, hated the incredibly rough road to get there. Absolutely ridiculous how bad that road is. Serious maintenance needs to happen.

Our site was actually very good, but we were lucky. Too many cars/trucks/vans parking along the road, very difficult to navigate around them. It was actually crazy parking and those campsites were literally right in the path of oncoming traffic. While we got lucky with an end site, we do not ever plan on camping there again.

We love 18 road! Bathrooms were clean, trails in great shape and great use of the space.

Great location, but very few sites are even close to level. The two nights I was there (5/13-14) the camp host was off duty and all pit toilets had zero toilet paper. I did see a BLM employee pass through but there was no effort to check or restock.
