The camp ground is high up and the view is amazing. The campground was also very quiet even though it was 1/2 full. Really enjoyed my stay.

This is a beautiful campground in a gorgeous park. The sites are spaced well and feel secluded. The only complaint would be that we were on ground so hard we couldn’t put stakes into the ground. However, they are rebuilding some (all?) of the sites to remedy this situation. If your tent doesn’t need stakes it’s a non-issue.
One of the things I loved about this place was how clean and nice the restrooms were. I hope other visitors will help keep them that way.

As always the views were spectacular; been here multiple times and it is still wonderful. We ventured out to the edge of the canyon near the tent only loop and were treated to a flock of white-throated swifts repeatedly buzzing over us as they fed on the evening insect flights. This is a small but remarkable park...still in my top ten places to spend a night or two.

Hosts were helpful, friendly and kind -but not imposing. Renovated, clean bathrooms - no shower - but all areas were well kept and steady improvements were being made.
The drive up into the campground is nothing short of glorious! Try to arrive Mid-day. (If you come closer to sunrise/set, you may drive off the road trying to see all the beauty) Everything in the park is stunning, so get out and explore. Grand Mesa is just over an hour away.
Had a fantastic time! The best CoE site we've been to!
