Pretty cool campground, sites are spaced a good distance apart and tree/bush cover give you privacy. Spectacular views - just bring your food/water up because it's a drive to get back down to re-supply.

This campground is absolutely amazing! From the amenities to the camp hosts to the site itself, everything is perfect. The hosts are some of the nicest people i've met, and the views (especially the sunrise) is incredible. I stay here every time I am in Grand Junction and will stay there every time I plan to visit!

Decent restrooms, beautiful views. But most of the campsites were slanted and exposed.

The soil at the campsites is not very deep making it a challenge to put tent stakes in the ground. It was very windy one night and I had to put rocks in the corners of the tent to hold it down. the bathrooms were very clean. I liked the hide along the rim from the Book Cliff shelter toward the visitor center. The hike up No Thoroughfare canyon to the waterfall plunge pools was wonderful.

This site, while it doesn’t have the amazing views of the valley below, has a little shade which is nice for the hot summer.
