Helpful camp host redirected me from my Saddlehorn reservation to a FCFS tent area "C". Weather played havoc with my plans so I spent more time around the Co Nat'l Mon than planned. Easy campground to walk/wander with amazing views. Even when full it is relatively quiet but you can hear everything. C tends to be quiet campers with few children. I did not use the restrooms. Did fill water at spigots around the campground.

An absolutely beautiful campground with amazing views! Our site was right on the edge of the campground so we were able to get a great view of the surrounding area. Our site didn’t have a designated tent pad which didn’t bother us, we were able to get set up in a nice spot. Restrooms and water spout is a quick walk from the site and the camp host was super friendly and welcoming. You are also right off the main road that goes through the park so you get to see all the amazing sites there pretty easily. The sun can get pretty intense so bring lots of protection and the site can be a bit dusty.

This campground is very near the visitor center. We biked to the center for the Nature and Rim Trails and felt comfortable to bike as far as the Otto Trail. The campground host is very friendly and helpful. Not all pads are level; you are closer to the campsite across the way rather than those next to you. Rangers are informative and generous with their knowledge. The scenic drive is spectacular but a wonder near sunset. Fruita has a lovely visitor center with dump station and potable water.

The campsites are oddly shaped and not always optimal for an rv. Luckily we have a truck camper, but the spot to park was small and very unlevel. We made note of sites that would be more comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Host was friendly. Always love riding my bike on the rim road.
