Fire pit was full of trash and rocks. Was essentially unusable. Would've liked the campsite description be a little more detailed. Toilet facilities were very far from campsite as opposed to other car camping campgrounds. Overall a decent place but would try the other rabbit valley campsites next time

Yes they are charging now.
It’s a nice place to stay on the way back from a late trip home from Utah to Denver. Really like the improvements.

Great location on the way to Moab, clean sites, leveled areas, picnic tables, and fire pits with grill. Will be back.

Incredible views of the Colorado River. Very large camping spots. It is a rough 4 mile road to the campground. Several washes along the way. Clay gets very slick when it’s raining. High clearance, all wheel drive or 4x4 strongly recommended.

This is an incredibly beautiful location and the camping area is well kept with plenty of space between camp sites. I pulled a small trailer into Knowles Overlook (#16) and would say the road is challenging but passable. There were wheel eating ruts to avoid and washes that would be challenging in rain, but it’s mostly a moderately sandy, one lane road until you reach the camping area which is very well graded and maintained.

Recently constructed campsite area on the north side of I-70 is well laid out and has a great night sky view (we used it for getting out of the dome of Grand Junction city lights to witness Comet Lemmon).
