Amazing breathtaking views at timber creek campground with Moose and wildlife abundant!
Only 10min after arriving we saw a momma moose and her baby only 20ft from our campsite!
Plenty of trees with the Colorado river behind us and trails to find solitude.
I recommend to anyone who’s looking for adventure, wildlife and fun camping!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Timber Creek Campground. The grounds and sites are perfectly taken care of as well as the restrooms and the views are amazing. In the morning, we woke up to the sound of elk chuckles and walked along the Timber Creek trailhead which is right next to the campground. This is a great location for fly fishers. It was such a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to stay there again!

Scenic view and the trail to Colorado River with beautiful view over the mountains are the perks of this campsite! I appreciate the cleared area dedicated for setting up a tent. The facility is well maintained, compost and flush toilets are relatively clean and work well.

It felt like camping in a Christmas tree farm! The sites were quite secluded from one another and we could only see the sites directly across the road from us. All of the trailheads are a decent length walk from the campsite along the main access road to the park, so definitely drive to your hikes.
