It was beautiful except no water hookup in the campground.

Took a slide-in camper and trailer and the pad was pretty level as is. The boat and truck fit nicely with plenty of room left over to sit out and watch the sky. Only con is that the trees need a couple years, otherwise a nice quiet campground with a very clean restroom.

The rangers and camp host was continuously hounding us about parking. They wouldn’t let us park at the marina, they wouldn’t let us park in over flow/visitors center like previous years due to construction. The only other option was to pay for an extra site but it was quoted that “if you only put your trailer and or vehicle on it you would get a ticket”. If you have tires off the pavement you would get a ticket. Fortunately for us we was able to piggy back with a friend to pay $5 day storage at the Oasis campground a couple of miles down the road. Having said all that the host was only acting because of Ranger Rick and his new badge. Camp host was actually cool. At the end of the day we felt hounded until we got the storage.
Dump station is a joke, they have 2 lanes but only one dump. Took close to two hours to dump and that was after check out time. The only good thing about dump is that it’s free.

The campground was great. Nice and quiet and great for laying in the hammock and watching the stars at night. Restrooms were pretty clean and the rangers were nice. I would stay there again.

Our camp host Brenda is amazing. Their needs to be more signage about camping etiquette. About aggressive dogs off-leash, and people leaving their site better than they found it.
I also think it’s a travesty that loop B is reservation only and their is no way to upgrade or change your site. B81 which is the best, has been open weekend after weekend this summer, because it was reserved and canceled last minute.
Campers have been rude and there has been a lot of domestic arguments. Worse than I have seen in 4 years of camping at Elk Creek. The rangers are great. And again Brenda is awesome!
