We live in the area and went to Elk Creek for a weekend getaway. Nice location and clean campsite. We were in the non-electric. Site was good for our 35 ft Class-A. Neighbors were quiet. Will visit again.

Excellent campground with easy access to the reservoir. A few sandy spots for swimming. Flushing toilets and nice space in between campsites for a little privacy. Lots of things to do in the area, too. Gunnison is an easy drive so you can stock up on anything you forgot or run out of while camping. We have been here several times and continue to return because it's the best we've found for family camping.

The site was clean, bathrooms needs huge amount of upgrades and more available showers near the restrooms. Ice and firewood are not as available. So if you travel be prepared and don't be surprised having to go into town.

Stayed for 2 days and nights and the campground was quiet at nite and no generators. The camp site was clean and so were the restrooms. The camp host was polite and courteous. One thing I wish was available was electrical near the restroom to plug in and air up air mattress instead of having to hike all the way up the camp host area and use their electricity. Fishing was terrible and has been for 20 years due to the Lake Trout which were introduced. Size of trout and salmon are smaller. Think a great fishery was destroyed with the Lake trout being introduced.

The sites on D-loop at Elk Creek are excellent. The sites offer 50 amp electric service, and the pads are both wide and flat making it very easy to level your rig.

{"text"=>"Initially had 1 single reservation at elk creek Marina for a kayak. We needed another tandem and the very nice employees recommended Lake Fork and switched our reservation for us. We loved the relaxed atmosphere at the boat houses and all our questions were answered before we pushed off. Was happy to board kayak from the shore vs the dock. Loved our time and would go again in a heartbeat! Would recommend this activity!", "languageCode"=>"en"}
