Had the tent area to ourselves last week. Would pick a different site next time, but we definitely enjoyed our stay and had zero problems or issues.

Surprisingly beautiful campground. For some reason, I was expecting something different (too much researching sites, I guess). Our site backed up to the Amphitheater (site A32) and we were able to set up our camp chairs and listen in on the presentations (far enough that the projector screen was tough to read and the speaker was audible, but not loud). The wind picked up every afternoon (late August), so we had to break down the EZ Ups. Bathrooms (on A loop, at least) are flush toilets with a sink and hand dryer. Water fountain, bottle filler and spigot at each bathroom location (our fountain and bottle filler were out of order). The construction on US50 (Mar '23 to Oct '23) was not fun in the rain on Friday and there was a one hour delay trying to get out on Monday morning.
The only major issue I had was that there was a large group camping downhill from us that were up hagning out and talking by the fire until well after 2am. I assume that quiet hours begin no later than 11pm. The hosts probably had no idea, based on their distance from the group sites. A courtesy check on all the sites after quiet hours begin to make sure things are winding down would be nice. In this case, a return visit to those still carrying on would have been needed.
You are less than a half hour from "downtown" Gunnison and about an hour from Black Canyon NP (highly recommended, especially after dark if you like watching the night skies). Boat ramp for your watercraft and paved roads all the way to your site for those with vehicles not made for off-roading. Full bars with AT&T, roaming signal with T-Mobile. I highly recommend this campground and can't wait to come back.
