What Guests Are Saying

Lottis Creek Campground is praised for its excellent location, friendly and attentive camp hosts, and exceptionally clean facilities, including the vault toilets. Guests enjoy spacious and well-maintained campsites, with many nearby recreational opportunities like fishing and hiking. However, concerns were raised about deep potholes in the campground roads and issues with the dump station water supply, which need addressing.

We stayed at Lottis Creek in the Baldy Loop. It is a nicely wooded small loop. It’s near the road to Taylor Reservoir so during the day there’s a bit of road noise (speed limit is 35 mph) but not an issue during the evening and night. The restrooms are spotless and the grounds are well maintained. Some sites are a bit close together but all the trees make it seem somewhat private. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is close to Taylor Reservoir for fishing and boating as well as the OHV trails toward Tincup.

We've stayed at many campgrounds and Lottis Creek is one of the better ones ever. We were in the Park Cone Loop - which is a small loop across the creek from the main loops. It's very quiet. Site 7 is huge - it has a very large pad for the picnic table and fire pit and another very large pad for the tent(s). The camp hosts were so nice and they kept the loop and pit toilet meticulously clean.

We stayed at Lottis Creek CG (Baldy Loop site #8) for 3 nights early Sept 2023. Site #8 is a spacious pull-through and accommodated comfortably our AS 19’ and offers a reasonably private stay. Camp Site #8 is no more than 50 yards from the road and noise can be annoying at times but nothing that will ruin your stay. The host maintains the area clean; sites and bathrooms are immaculate. We used the 30 Amp available successfully and although potable water spigots are available to fill trailer water tank you will need a100 ft hose would be needed – water spigot key needs to be requested to the host).
We have ATT and were able to send and receive text and make calls (LTE one bar).
We hiked to Henry Lake via Lottis Creek – 6 miles out and back (we could not make all the way to the lake this time)– moderate elevation gain. Not much wildlife to be seen during our hike.
Our second hike was Ptarmigan Lake Trail – 6.5 miles and 1500 ft of elevation gain. Moderate hike to 3 lakes with Ptarmigan above tree line at 12.150 ft. Lots of birds, few Pikas and marmots

This campground has become a Texas RV resort where they stay for over a month. That’s a fact. Nobody enforces it and I’m making as many calls as possible to change it.

This is an awesome campground with hiking and fishing right in the campground. Restrooms were clean and mostly odor free. Ideal location for fishermen located between Almont and Taylor Park
