What Guests Are Saying

Rosy Lane is highly praised for its beautiful location by the river, well-maintained facilities, and friendly campground hosts who provide excellent care. Many reviewers appreciated the spaciousness and cleanliness of the sites, as well as the peaceful atmosphere. However, some concerns were raised about road noise, disruptive lighting from the host's trailer, and occasional management issues, which affected the overall experience for a few visitors.

We camped at Rosy Lane for two nights. It's a, quiet, pretty little campground with good privacy at most of the sites. Several sites had long pull through driveways. Our site was along the river, where my husband caught two fish within just a few minutes. There is a peaceful paved path along the river that had a couple of extended paved platforms adjoining the path. They would be enjoyable spots for fishing, reading or just relaxing in a comfortable chair. It was fun to see the occasional river rafters paddling down the river and listen to their whooping as they got hung up on rocks. .
Hosts were friendly, visible much of the time and very attentive to caring for the grounds. Vault toilets were exceptionally clean.
For some reason, at the time of our visit, there was no water available at the spigots. This was the case with several of the campgrounds in the Taylor Canyon. Not sure why; perhaps it was the drought on the western slope.
Our only small complaint was the little ankle nipping flies that we experienced for an hour or so on one afternoon.

Beautiful campground - clean facilities. Camp host was new, but very friendly and helpful. There is a nice fishing area on the upstream side. Sites 3, 5, 7, 12 and 13 are right near the River and are really nice. It would have been nice if the stoners smoking weed all day next to us had better choice in music. They did at least quit at night. There continues to be no water, as there has not been for at least three years. Warning- you will not be able to get it at One mile either (campground downstream) starting 7/1/21. You can dump and fill with water near Taylor Reservoir. You can also do this at Tall Texan RV Park in Gunnison.. You can buy a shower there as well - super clean with nice staff. Prices for showers have doubled in the last year.

Camp sites that are on the river side are absolutely wonderful - large spaces and beautiful river. The area itself seems to be best for people who are into fishing or kayaking / river rafting , as it's kind of far away from other activities.
