Camp host was not around,no way of buying firewood, people were setting up camp and staying overnight with no permit. No one around to even check for permits.

The park was a little run down. The women’s outhouse didn’t have a lock on the door and no lights so even during the day you had to take a flash light. The camp host in our campground was ill so that’s probably why the outhouse wasn’t in good shape. Also, there was a raccoon in the trash bin. The ranger said that it happens a fair amount....so why not put a “lock” on the lid so they can’t get in in the first place? We would have had a better time but the weather was awful. Very, very cold and windy. We expected the wind (it is KS after all but the cold was a surprise. I thought the campsites were too close together and not enough trees for privacy.

Very clean park. Our name was not written on our campsite and it showed the spot was open, but we had a reservation. Same as our friends in spot #12. Camp host did not know our spaces were reserved.

Great spot! The gentleman who managed the grounds was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend the spaces furthest from the road. I will definitely be coming back!
