Riverside (CO)

We love this campground. We always take over a bunch of spots because our dog needs her space away from other dogs, and it is always so much fun and just perfect for our group. We love being so close to the river!
A special shout out to Deb and her work on the bathrooms here. They were truly AMAZINGLY CLEAN. Not one bug. Smelled great. So clean... never have I seen another campground bathroom like this one. It was actually perfectly pleasant using the facilities here. Not a totally gross, hold your breath the whole time, disgusting experience. REALLY AWESOME. She is the best.

I liked being close to the entrance. We usually camp in Spillway & have always wanted to try Riverside. Loved it! The host was sweet & helpful, the restrooms were always spotless & stocked. This is my new favorite campground.

This is a beautiful campground. It is across the road from the river - quiet, scenic and lots to explore.

Great campground at the base of the canyon. Camp host was super kind and offered us plenty of info.

Quite a bit of noise from early morning traffic from people fishing, but not the end of the world.

By far the best spot for views and privacy.
My 3rd year camping here and it never disappoints. HOWEVER! Be prepared to work! You have to haul all your stuff up and down the hill and even if you bring a wagon, the path up there is not so friendly. It gets quite exhausting.

Mostly good experience. Access to stream fishing. Well maintained sites and clean restrooms. Disappointed in access road traffic; very dusty road and speed of users.
Please respect campers when passing campsites.

Always lovely, peaceful, perfect.

It would be nice to have electricity. It was very hot and needed to use our generator… into the evening. The camp host made sure we turned it off at 10pm (walking over at 9:55 to tell us 🤪). This was our first time at this location …It’s a busy dusty road way into the night.

Easy to find, well maintained and comfortable. Just across the road is the peaceful river with a variety of birds, people fishing, a few benches to relax on. Had a nice interaction with camp host, Deb, who keeps the vault toilets pristine. Appreciate the hook in the WC, some campgrounds don't have that and it's convenient for changing. I also appreciate reservability. I wish more of Colorado's small, basic campgrounds had reservable sites like Riverside does!

My trip to Riverside was very good. The host was helpful by answering my questions. I had a good time fishing at various spots on the S. Platte. I'll be back to Riverside. TYhanks
