What Guests Are Saying
Riverside campground is praised for its clean facilities, beautiful scenery, and friendly hosts, making it a popular choice for campers, especially those who enjoy fishing. While some reviews mention issues like overcrowding, limited privacy, and occasional cleanliness problems in the bathrooms, the overall atmosphere remains positive. Campers appreciate the calm river, reasonable fees, and pleasant environment, despite some challenges related to site access and lack of water amenities.

Had to go get host when we arrived to have him clean fire pit. He wasn't around much, and ran his generator ALL DAY LONG, whether on site or not. Women's restroom was devoid of paper once. Over 4th weekend, host did not keep daytrippers out of tent camping only parking area.
Since posting my original review, we have found out that: a) the company who hires camp hosts has been DOGEd - they're extremely understaffed - camp hosts no longer just care for their assigned campground. They're responsible for MILES of canyon roads, picnic areas, and manning the registration huts, just to name a few; b) camp host is required to run his generator in order to have real-time access to reservations, contact from management, etc; c) Over July 4th weekend, our camp host was working overtime hours (unpaid) to keep up with the heavy traffic up & down the canyon. He couldn't be chasing daytrippers and cleaning up after them at picnic areas at the same time.
I owe our camp host a HUGE apology for assuming he was lackluster. The management company really needs to hire more camp hosts, hut attendants, canyon road monitors.

Nice spot. The river is calm and not that deep so kids can play in it. Campsite clean. There’s a short hike in Riverside but we didn’t go on it. There are 2 areas to park but the one closest to the river is the easiest. Site 19 is the furthest to the right so it’s also the furthest from the bathroom. There were bundles of firewood for sale for $10 each at the host. They charge $11 per car at the front gate in addition to your reservation, cash or check only.

Excellent atmosphere especially with the shallow river just past the base of the camp & road.

The site is a little walk away from the parking lot. But really clean, no issues. River is in front of river just crossing a road. Sometimes cars pass and it gets dusty.!

This is a beautiful spot! #10 worked great for our fifth wheel and truck. Bathrooms were clean. No water available so make sure you fill up before you come.
