What Guests Are Saying
Spillway Campground offers a beautiful location near the river with unique rock features and spacious sites, making it ideal for relaxation and exploration. Camp hosts are consistently praised for their friendliness and professionalism, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. However, some campers noted issues with the lack of on-site potable water and reservation mix-ups, which could be improved.

AWESOME campground!! River was perfect distance away. Catch & release ONLY next to the campground. There’s a sign on your way to the campground that says when it starts. Watch out for those chipmunks!! They will steal all the food, even while you’re sitting at the table. Great campground hosts! FYI $7 CASH gate entry fee for all vehicles.

Nice campgrounds with trees and shrubbery. Most are fairly private. Camp hosts are excellent and keep very clean pit toilets! Can get windy at times.

This is a beautiful area - remote - 10 mi on a packed dirt road. We stayed at the campground (Spillway) most distal from the beginning - there were no hook ups for RVS - so it was very quiet and there weren't constant cars driving by. (there was one person running a noisy generator but wasn't near our camp site). We didn't fish but several people throughout our stay were fishing in the clear river. No one we talked to caught any fish but it's at least a beautiful, relaxing place to fish.
There are other campgrounds along the canyon - they all looked clean and well cared for.
