Wonderful site, killer spot near the river. This specific spot has some really cool rock features but is a bit of a walk from parking. Tucked back and very cost.

This is a beautiful campground with friendly and professional camp hosts. However, for the past two seasons there has been no on-site access to potable water. Campers must either bring in enough water to meet all their needs, or obtain it from the well pump at the next nearest campground (Cove Campground, slightly over 1/2 mile away). I disagree with the opinion (expressed by some) that the well has gone dry, as it is situated adjacent to the river and undoubtedly reaches the ground water. I strongly suspect the issue is a malfunctioning hand pump. In fact, if operated very vigorously it will produce some water, therefore the well itself is not dry. I am convinced that the problem is simply that the hand pump requires maintenance (new pump piston seal or valve perhaps). I don't know what entity is responsible for pump maintenance (ExplorUS, USFS, Recreation.gov, Denver Water, etc.) but there apparently has been no concerted effort to diagnose and/or address the problem for two years now. It would be greatly appreciated if the responsible party would make an effort to diagnose and correct this issue. Thank you.

Beautiful location (rocks & water) with relatively spaced sites. Some sites require walking up/down hill. The well was dry so we had to go to the campground less than a 2 minute drive away to get water which wasn't a big deal. The host is super helpful and keeps the vault toilets spotless. We'll be back.
