Great area. If you have a lot of items to bring down to the river, it’s best to drive. It’s quiet of a walk to get to a decent spot. Besides having inconsiderable people at night being loud, everything about the campsite was great.

Eleven-mile campgrounds are in splendid location—all the campsites are excellent.
Be advised that your campsite must be occupied by you on the first day of a multi-day reservation—or you risk losing your campsite even though you have it reserved and have paid for it. We were told this by two different employees.

Decent campground, but no host. Recommend sourcing firewood in Lake George vs Spillway.

The campsite was super nice and just a walk to the river. There is a long staircase from the parking spot to the campsite which makes it more challenging to set up camp. Overall very nice! Comes with a stair master workout.

Very beautiful place to camp but watch out when you enter Eleven Mile Canyon. You must purchase a park permit. When we checked in we told the attendant we were buying the permit for us and our nephew in the vehicle directly behind us. She took our money for both vehicles and then proceeded to charge him as well.

This is an incredible campground in reasonable proximity to Colorado Springs. Make sure you book well in advance. Molly the campground host was delightful. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Nice spot. Camped in October and it seemed like this area was colder than everywhere else. Maybe a good thing in the summer. The 2023 host did an amazing job keeping the sites clean. Ours was raked like a Japanese garden and the fire pit had zero ashes. Even though there’s a beautiful creek nearby, the campground water source was poor. Hand pumping brown water. We had to borrow some from neighbors for drinking. There is no firewood to be gathered in the area, so plan to buy in town or from the host. Road is super dusty and washboarded. If fishing or climbing, you will be inhaling a lot of it. One in our party got an eye infection. All that said, we had a good time.
