What Guests Are Saying

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort in Larkspur offers clean and well-equipped cabins, friendly staff, and enjoyable amenities like a water park and pools, although some features like mini-golf and bowling may need improvement. Guests appreciate the beautiful mountain views and the supportive camping community, particularly during difficult times. However, issues such as poor Wi-Fi, maintenance concerns, and noise from nearby trains can detract from the experience.

We rented a cabin and it was wonderful. Very clean and there was everything we needed for staying there. When your inside you cant hear the traffic from the highway but sitting on the deck you can and there was a smell of sewage. They have great amenities throught the park unfortunately one of the bowling lanes was down while we were there and every time we tried going the other lane was taken up. The mini golf was okay it could have better obstacles for a little more challenge. The staff was very friendly and helpful if we dis need anything.

We took a long weekend off to come here with our travel trailer. Price was fair, nice view right along the mountains. Kids pool got overcrowded on weekends so don’t expect any personal space or seating.

People also can be selfish taking more space than they need and “reserving” things by putting their personal belongings on multiple spaces and even leaving the site to comeback later. Alcohol and food is straight up ripoff.

Bathrooms pretty clean, staff is friendly, camper site was average. The biggest negatives here are the shotty WiFi, at our campsite it was in and out or extremely slow when it did work, near the pool it was marginally better. Next disappointment is the constant freight trains that come by, will interrupt your sleep which really kills the experience. Wish I could rate higher but these two negatives brought down their score. If you have little kids they would like this place and the small water attractions.

We spent 2 nights in a Cindy Bear Cabin at Jellystone Larkspur.

The Good
Water park and pool was great fun for the kids
Air Conditioning in the cabin was great
The cabin had many hooks to hang things like hats and backpacks
The patio had a nice table and seating for many

The Bad
The dish drainer was filthy
The sheets were scratchy
The Wi-Fi was terrible
Maintenance here is a real issue. When things break, they stay broken - examples include a handrail that was basically unusable because it was full of splinters, window shades broken or missing their wands, broken zippers on cabanas. There are 60+ “broken” golf carts sitting in the pool parking lot making it difficult to find a parking place.

Things to know
The primary bedroom in Cindy Bear cabin has large, uncovered windows letting in early morning light and heat
Coffee maker is the pod-type coffee maker - Pods are provided
There is no oven - 2 burner stove and microwave
Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner are provided
Bath towels are provided but you need your own pool towels
We had a hair dryer even tho, when I asked, I was told they are not provided
Mattresses in the loft are only suitable for children. They are about 3 inches thick.
No kitchen towels or potholders are provided

This property is huge. If you are vacationing with another family, it is worth paying the additional fee to be sure your cabins/campsites are near each other. Also, it seems important to book a golf cart when you make your reservation because there were none available when we tried to rent one a couple of days prior to our visit. Even if you are not traveling with your 92 year old granny (which we were) you will probably end up driving to some activities. I can’t figure out why they would have dozens of broken carts not being maintained. I heard many, many other guests asking about renting a cart and being turned down.

All in all, we had a fun time, but Sun Outdoors needs to do better with maintenance.

After experiencing an unexpected tragedy that left our RV uninhabitable, the staff at Jellystone Park in Larkspur went above and beyond to take care of us.

Without hesitation, they moved us into a cabin for the remainder of our stay, giving us a safe and comfortable place to be with our fur child during an incredibly stressful time. They also let us borrow a golf cart so we could move all of our belongings from the RV to the cabin, which made a difficult situation so much easier.

Throughout our stay, the staff continuously checked in on us to see if we needed anything and genuinely cared about how we were doing. Their kindness, compassion, and willingness to help made all the difference.

I’d also like to recognize the incredible camping community here. So many fellow campers stopped to check on us, offered help, and showed us kindness when we needed it most. It was a reminder that there are still so many good people in the world.

A very special thank you to Randy, Mandy, Rachel, Susie, and Eric. Each of you went above and beyond to help us through one of the most difficult experiences we’ve ever faced. Your compassion, generosity, and genuine concern will never be forgotten. We are forever grateful for everything you did for us.

While we certainly wish our trip had gone differently, we’ll never forget the kindness we experienced at Jellystone Park in Larkspur. Thank you to the entire staff and everyone who reached out to help us through one of the hardest moments we’ve experienced. We are truly grateful.

We have driven past so many times. Gave are adult children options of where to stay, Jellystone was their pick. The staff was very busy and we arrived a little early and they let us go to the dog park, Clover was very happy.
The rooms are quaint. The high ceiling is amazing. Everyone's favorite place when at the cabin was the deck. Will definitely come back.
