We love coming to this campsite. It is beautiful, close to the lake, and has a nice trail for walking and riding bikes around the lake. The site is also about 10-15 minutes from Leadville which is always a fun little mining town to walk around, eat, and shop.

From Leadville, Colorado, drive west on County Road 4 about 3.5 miles, turn right on County Road 9C and follow signs to Baby Doe Campground.

Utilities
- Water will not be available at the campground in 2026; please bring your own.
- There are no hookups available at this campground.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite reservation includes two vehicles; additional vehicles incur a fee of $11.00 per night.
- OHVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes are prohibited in the campground.
Site capacity
- A maximum of 8 people can occupy one campsite.
- Each site can accommodate a maximum of 2 tents or 1 RV and 2 tents.
Pets
- All dogs must be leashed at all times, including service and therapy dogs.
Safety & rules
- Generators cannot be operated after designated hours.
- The use of firearms and fireworks is prohibited.
- Caution is advised when traveling to this high elevation facility.
Wildlife & food storage
- Do not leave food unattended at your site; it should be locked inside your vehicle or RV to avoid attracting bears.
