Campsites were very nice, plenty of room. Short walk to Turquoise Lake with great views and hiking trail along lake. Only downside - we were tent camping and wanted to enjoy the serenity of nature. Unfortunately our RV neighbors ran their loud generators all day until 10 pm at night. Will look for campsites without RVs next time. Not sure why they needed that, get out and enjoy nature! That's why you're there right?

I called ahead to confirm water level/distance to carry kayaks from campground. I was told the shoreline is a bit longer to water than normal. I would have liked a more accurate answer

Beautiful location and campgrounds, I try to go every year! The lake and trail are gorgeous and the campsites are always clean and enjoyable.

Was a great trip. Campground and Host were great. Only negative. People running generators for hours and letting their dogs bark. Please stop this noise pollution in the wilderness.

We stayed in site #28. It is one of the first sites in the loop but we weren’t disturbed by the entrance of cars into the loop. We felt as if the sites were spacious and spread out—I appreciate not feeling like the next site's neighbors are too close. The bathroom was not too close—not interested in smelling it or the extra foot traffic near my site—but not too far for those late night needs. The camp hosts did a great job of keeping the restrooms clean and stocked with tp. We enjoyed walking to Turquoise Lake, and the short 15-minute drive into Leadville!

Site 15 was great - lots of space from other sites. Good area for tent, and well kept firepit. Outhouses were VERY clean, but often the smell found its way to our site, which was less than pleasant, hence the star deduction. Full bars of 5G for T-Mobile.
Water was low but getting to swim and explore the beach area was lovely. Campground hosts were friendly and very present.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Utilities
- Water is not available in 2026; please bring enough for your needs and to extinguish campfires. RV dump stations are closed this season.
- There are no hook-up facilities available at this campground.
Vehicles & parking
- Campsite reservations include two vehicles; extra vehicles incur an $11.00/night fee. All vehicles must fit in the parking spur and no parking on grass is allowed.
- OHVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes are not allowed in the campground.
Site capacity
- A maximum of 8 people can occupy one campsite.
- Each site allows a maximum of 3 tents or 1 RV and 2 tents.
Pets
- All dogs must be leashed at all times, including service and therapy dogs.
Safety & rules
- Generators cannot be operated after a certain time; CPAP and medical equipment are exempt.
- Firearms and fireworks are not allowed in the campground.
- Caution is advised when traveling from lower elevations due to the high elevation of the facility.
Wildlife & food storage
- Food must not be left unattended; it should be locked inside your vehicle or RV to avoid attracting bears.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; obtain it near your destination to prevent the spread of pests.
- Firewood can be purchased at the host site for $10.00 per bundle.
